Chief of Staff Office: Technical Program/Project Management Support

About Us

Join an empowered team passionate about creating impact and having fun together! At Autodesk Forma, we are on a mission to improve the built environment to meet the needs of humanity and the climate. By combining AI, 3D, cloud collaboration, and automation, we enable customers to find more sustainable, affordable, and efficient solutions to the challenges posed by growing cities, climate change, and global conflict.

Role Summary

We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to drive alignment, execution, and delivery across complex product and engineering initiatives. This role operates as a trusted partner to Product Area Leaders and Engineering leadership, ensuring that strategy is translated into coordinated, cross-team execution. You will work closely with engineering, product, and design to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that shape the future of the built environment.

Reporting into the Chief of Staff, you will lead and coordinate cross-squad, engineering, and cross-organization initiatives, acting as a central point of contact to manage dependencies, reduce operational overhead, and improve overall delivery effectiveness. You will also drive the program management for critical product capabilities, ensuring alignment with Forma Design priorities, reducing delivery risk, and increasing confidence in processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all cross-organization and cross-squads initiatives are set up for success by driving structured kickoffs, defining goals, success metrics, and establishing a clear operating model for collaboration, and maintaining alignment to that model throughout execution

  • Own end-to-end program management for complex, cross-squad initiatives.

  • Drive execution by partnering with product and engineering leadership to define plans and ensure delivery against objectives.

  • Act as the central point of coordination across product, engineering, and design, managing dependencies and alignment.

  • Identify and mitigate risks, remove blockers, and maintain momentum across initiatives

  • Ensure strong cross-organization collaboration, representing Forma Design and aligning with external teams.

  • Reduce operational overhead on product managers and engineering teams by owning coordination, tracking, and reporting

  • Provide clear visibility into progress, risks, and dependencies, enabling timely decision-making and intervention

What You Bring

  • Strong ability to drive alignment and execution across multiple teams and stakeholders

  • Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional programs with multiple dependencies

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to initiatives

  • Ability to influence without direct authority and build strong, trust-based relationships

  • Clear and effective communicator, able to provide visibility into progress, risks, and trade-offs

  • Proactive and outcome-oriented, with a focus on delivery and impact over activity

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and a systems-thinking mindset

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field

  • 5+ years of experience working with engineering teams on complex initiatives in a fast-paced environment

  • 3+ years of experience in a Technical Program Manager, Program Manager, or similar role

  • Strong understanding of software development processes and Agile methodologies

  • Experience working with cloud-based systems or platforms (e.g. AWS)

  • Experience coordinating delivery across multiple teams, including managing dependencies and risks

  • Comfortable using AI tools to streamline program management workflows, including planning, documentation, status reporting, risk tracking, and stakeholder communication.
