VirtualWorks Hub in Alta, Norway is seeking a skilled Fitter Technician to join our team. You will assemble, install and maintain mechanical systems, reading blueprints and schematics to guide precise fabrication and alignment of components.

This full-time role requires at least 2 years of fitter experience, a strong grasp of mechanical principles, and the ability to lift heavy objects. You will troubleshoot issues, collaborate with engineers, and ensure safe, reliable operation of pumps,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fitter or similar role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately.

Responsabilités

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
• Perform fitting and fabrication of metal components using hand and power tools.
• Install and align mechanical systems such as pumps, valves, motors, and bearings.
• Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during installation or maintenance processes.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop efficient solutions for mechanical problems.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing job duties.
