Job summary

Lanes Group Ltd is recruiting for a permanent, full-time role in Deephams, Enfield on a Thames Water contract. The position involves travel by HGV in a two-person team, operating high-pressure water jetting to restore and maintain drainage networks.

You will log job reports, perform diagnostics and repairs, and uphold safety standards in all weather conditions. The role emphasizes delivering excellent customer service, liaising with clients, and using VISTEC and Salesforce platforms.

Responsibilities

• Travelling to residential sites via a HGV in a two person team, around the region, powering a high‑pressure water jet for restoration
• Clean, clear and maintain drainage systems
• Record each job report correctly on the specialist equipment provided
• Run diagnostics and repairs on drains
• Delivering good customer service
• Maintaining good health and safety practise while carrying out works
• Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished
• Comply with health and safety responsibilities, i.e. PPE / safe site setups protecting Lanes Group employees, the public and other road users
• Utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms
• Operate JHL specification vacuum tankers and associated equipment
• Safely access vehicle cabs, sites and offices using correct procedures (e.g., three points of contact…)
• Manipulate (including loading and unloading to / from tanker pipe storage trays) flexible pipework in a safe manner utilising correct manual handling techniques
• Work unsupervised in all weather conditions, wearing correct PPE or utilising the lone worker system
• Dynamically risk assess site access and working conditions depending on specific circumstances on arrival
• Liaising with the client regarding process and any updates
• Provide support to your colleagues
• Conduct thorough inspections of tools, equipment and plant before and after use
• Report any defects or malfunctions
• Carry out risk assessments and have a mature approach to risk perception
• Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them
• Any other reasonable ad‑hoc tasks, duties or projects as requested by management
