Job summary

FreshStart UAE is seeking a Facade Technician to maintain and repair exterior building surfaces in Svalbard. The role requires attention to detail, physical fitness, and comfort working at heights as part of a small team.

Responsibilities include inspecting facades, repairing/ installing materials, applying weatherproofing, and safely operating scaffolds and power tools. Salary is quoted in monthly USD, with visa sponsorship offered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in construction or with building facades preferred but not required.
• Physically fit with the ability to work at heights.
• Attention to detail and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of building facades and identifying any necessary repairs or maintenance.
• Repair damaged or deteriorating facade materials such as glass, metal panels, and stone.
• Installing new facade elements as needed.
• Applying weatherproofing and sealing materials to prevent water damage.
• Operating equipment such as scaffolding, lifts, and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintaining accurate records of work performed and materials used.
