Your new role

As our new Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, overseeing complex structural projects, and shaping the future of our structural engineering services. Reporting directly to the Head of Department in High Rise & Complex Buildings team, you will be entrusted with a range of responsibilities, which require a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking. You will be responsible for undertaking and overseeing work from the initial design concept through to detailed design, supervision, and quality assurance of structures. As a part of a global spearhead, you can expect to be working on projects across the Nordics and Europe, in sectors such as commercial, leisure and residential developments.

Your key responsibilities will be:
  • Leading technical design of structures
  • Facilitating local and international collaboration across disciplines
  • Representing Ramboll at conferences and other events showcasing our work
  • Supporting the use of digital tools
  • Carrying out onsite supervision and quality assurance
  • Acting as a mentor for junior colleagues
  • Participating in bids and tenders
Your new team

You will become a part of our High Rise & Complex Buildings team. We are based in the Ramboll HQ in Oslo but are involved in projects across the world. Joining us, you will become a part of a skilled team of professional structural engineers, where collaboration is not only encouraged but essential to ensure success and continuous professional development. We work closely with colleagues in other countries to ensure that we adopt best practices and bring the latest innovations to our projects.

About you

These include:

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience with design of complex structures using European codes of practice. Knowledge of Norwegian building projects is an advantage.
  • Experience and/or knowledge and interest in tall and complex building constructions.
  • Ability to develop practical solutions which contribute to the project vision.
  • International mindset and an ability to drive collaboration across construction disciplines, both within Ramboll and externally.
  • Good communication skills in English. Proficiency in Norwegian is beneficial but not mandatory.

This position is based in Oslo, but we welcome applicants who are not currently located here and willing to relocate for this exciting opportunity to join our team. We might also consider allowing other workplaces in Norway too.
