Job summary

Job description

As an Excavator Operator you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to excavate move and grade earth in a safe and efficient manner You will need to have a thorough understanding of the equipment and its functions as well as the ability to read and interpret construction plans This role requires physical stamina and attention to detail as well as good hand-eye coordination You must also have a valid operators license and experience in operating excavators As this job involves working on construction sites you must also adhere to all safety protocols and regulations

This position is based in Svalbard and offers a salary of $900 per month In this role your main duties will include operating the excavator to dig trenches load trucks break up rock or concrete structures and perform other tasks assigned by your supervisor You will also be responsible for conducting routine maintenance on the equipment to ensure its proper functioning Additionally you may need to work in adverse weather conditions or in remote locations

To be successful in this role you should have a high school diploma or equivalent qualification and at least 2 years of experience operating excavators A valid drivers license is also required You must possess strong communication skills and be able to follow instructions accurately Being able to work well under pressure and adapt quickly to changing circumstances is essential

As an Excavator Operator you will report directly to the site supervisor or project manager You may also need to collaborate with other team members on certain projects Therefore being a team player is crucial for this role
