Job summary

Nofence, a Norwegian scale-up, is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join the NPD team. The role focuses on designing schematics and PCBs for a solar-powered device that combines GNSS, LTE, Bluetooth, and more.

You will bring up boards, test hardware from prototype to pilot production, and work with embedded teammates on low power consumption. Location: Trondheim or Molde; fluent English required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Boards you have taken from schematic to working hardware, and a story about what went wrong on the way
• Strong fundamentals: analogue, power and digital design, signal integrity, EMC basics, power optimisation
• Confidence with oscilloscope, spectrum analyser, DMM and PCBA debugging and testing
• Experience with a professional PCB CAD tool. We’re moving from Altium to KiCad.
• Fluent English

Nofence is a Norwegian scale-up that has built the world’s first virtual fencing solution for livestock. As we aim to revolutionise livestock management, we will need top-notch competence in our Engineering team, and we are now looking for an Electronics Engineer.

The product is small, solar-assisted and combines GNSS, LTE, Bluetooth, and many other technologies, so every design decision is a system integration problem. Join the NPD team that takes it from concept to pilot production.

What you’ll do

• Design schematics and PCB layouts, and review designs with the team
• Bring up new boards, subcircuits and reusable modules
