Job summary

BELAM is hiring for a railway technician to install electromechanical systems on railway tracks, based on diagrams and instructions. You will dismantle existing equipment and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems, with a 7-on/7-off shift pattern.

The role requires experience in electrical engineering, electromechanics or automation, adherence to safety rules, and the ability to work both in a team and independently, with a Category B driving license.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Installation of electromechanical equipment on the railway track (point machines, traffic lights, axle counters, level crossing systems) based on diagrams, drawings, and instructions;
• Dismantling of existing equipment;
• Troubleshooting, inspecting electrical engineering and instrumentation systems;
• Shift work (7 days on / 7 days off).

Qualifications

• Experience working in the fields of electrical engineering, electromechanics, or automation;
• Knowledge of and adherence to occupational safety regulations;
• Knowledge of the English language;
• Ability to work both in a team and independently, strong sense of responsibility;
• Category B driver’s license.
