Our Orkla IT – Sales & Marketing team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the quality of data used in Orkla’s business processes and reporting. We work with technologies such as PIM, SAP PLM, SAP MDG, SAP B, and SAP Information Steward to strengthen data governance, improve the quality of product and master data, and provide valuable insights into Orkla’s external sales value chain. The team is part of our Digital Growth unit, and we collaborate closely with other teams to ensure customer satisfaction and deliver impactful technological solutions. We are now looking for a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Consultant to support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous development of our PLM solution. This key role requires a strong understanding of both food and non-food process industries and a focus on creating user-friendly, effective solutions. It is equally important to have a holistic view of PLM’s role within the overall landscape, including its interfaces and interactions with customers and partners.

Your responsibilities as a PLM consultant

In our agile organizational model, teams have end-to-end responsibility for their respective areas. As a PLM Consultant, you will enhance advisory services for R&D and optimize product functionality and utilization across Orkla companies. Your role includes implementing PLM solutions and driving continuous improvement of PLM processes and systems. You are also responsible for managing incidents, changes, and service requests related to SAP PLM, as well as addressing new requirements and system enhancements. You will participate in and lead User Acceptance Tests (UAT), conduct demos and training sessions, gather requirements, and develop test strategies. Collaboration with other units and teams will be key to ensuring effective solution use and knowledge sharing. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential to foster good collaboration with both internal stakeholders and external partners.

You are committed toidentifyingeffective solutions through strong analytical skills and have solidexpertisein Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). It’s anadvantagethat you havein-depth knowledge of PLM objects such asspecifications, recipes, label sets, documents,rolesand authorizations, as well as thevarious optionsfor automated reporting (WWI, analytical reports). Previousexperience with S/4HANA PLM processes and tools is essential, with at least five years of hands‑on experience in the PLM domain. Experience with the ECTR interface and migration is an advantage. You should also be comfortable working with load files and mapping, and have a strong understanding of data flows, interface operations, and the review and approval processes managed within PLM.
