Job summary

Atea Norge AS is seeking a Detection Engineer to build and refine detection content across SIEM and security platforms. You will work with Detection & Response specialists, Security Operations, Incident Response and Threat Intelligence to translate threat intelligence and customer needs into practical detections.

You will join a growing CSOC team focused on continuous development, collaboration and delivering strong security outcomes for customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in cyber security, security operations or detection engineering.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel or other SIEM platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, attacker behaviour and MITRE ATT&CK.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and improve detection content across SIEM and security platforms.
• Translate threat intelligence and attacker techniques into detections.
• Tune and maintain detections to improve reliability and value.
• Contribute to Detection as Code pipelines and best practices.
• Collaborate with Security Operations, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence and Automation teams.
• Identify detection gaps, participate in security exercises and share knowledge.
