Job summary

Orkla Home & Personal Care in Oslo is seeking a curious data professional to turn business needs into practical data solutions and to automate reporting. You’ll use Power BI and Databricks to build scalable dashboards, govern data, and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to drive adoption and value.

This permanent role is based at Skøyen head office, with strong opportunities to learn and grow in a data-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Relevant higher education in IT, data, engineering, business analytics or a related field.
• Foundation in data modelling and business logic, gained through studies, projects or previous work.
• Basic experience with Power BI, or a strong motivation to learn, including semantic modelling.
• Interest in data quality, governance and security.
• Structured approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both business and technology colleagues.
• High proficiency in English and Norwegian or another Scandinavian language, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Turn business needs into reusable data products and governed self-service solutions.
• Build and test Power BI semantic models, intuitive dashboards and consistent KPI definitions.
• Connect solutions to our data platform and Databricks.
• Automate recurring reporting and reduce manual work.
• Help ensure data quality, security, access control and clear documentation.
• Work closely with business and technology colleagues to validate solutions and support successful adoption.
• Maintain and continuously improve existing data products and reporting solution
