Job summary

StaffHost digital seeks a Data Engineer to design and build robust data platforms in Norway, enabling analytics, AI and ML workloads. You will collaborate with data scientists, architects and stakeholders to ensure data reliability and production readiness.

Key responsibilities include building modern data pipelines, working on large-scale data systems, and applying best practices for data quality, security and performance. Norwegian proficiency at C1 is mandatory.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in data engineering or related field.
• Experience with large-scale data platforms and AI-driven solutions.
• Strong Python development skills and data modeling experience.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and cloud-native data architectures.
• Proficiency with Apache Kafka and distributed data systems.
• Kubernetes skills and MLOps/data platform support for ML workloads.
• Cloud-based data platform experience and data quality/security/performance practices.
• C1-level Norwegian (spoken and written) is mandatory.

Responsibilities

We are representing a leading multinational organisation with a strong presence in Norway, delivering large-scale data platforms and AI-driven solutions for clients across both the public and private sector. They are now looking to expand their teams with an experienced Data Engineer.

The Role

As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and building robust, scalable data platforms that enable advanced analytics, AI and machine learning solutions. You'll work closely with data scientists, architects and stakeholders to ensure data is reliable, accessible and production-ready.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build modern data pipelines and architectures
• Work with large-scale, distributed data systems
• Enable ML and AI workloads through strong data foundations
• Implement best practices around data quality, security and performance
• Support platforms used for MLOps, LLM and AI-driven solutions
• Contribute to projects across public and private sector organisations

Experience & Skills
