Job summary

John Sisk & Son Ltd is seeking a Site Engineer for a Data Centre project in Norway. You will be responsible for setting out, dimensional controls, and coordinating surveys to ensure quality and space utilization.

You will liaise with planners, review subcontractor drawings, and promote efficient use of digital tools on site. The role requires strong reporting, problem solving, and the ability to manage multiple trades across piling, substructures, and facades, with a focus on safe, compliant

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Diploma.
• Experience in engineering coordination and site setting out.
• Proficient with total stations, EDMs, lasers and dumpy levels.
• Strong reporting and communication skills.
• SMSTS or MSIC certification.
• Chartered or working towards professional membership with Engineers Ireland or the ICE.

Responsibilities

• Set out works in line with drawings, specifications and site surveys.
• Liaise with planners to align programmes and outputs.
• Check materials and works for compliance with specs and quality.
• Contribute to Inspection and Test Plans and ensure test data.
• Raise and resolve RFIs with client representatives and suppliers.
• Maintain quality control and records per method statements and inspection procedures.
• Review subcontractor drawings and ensure contract records are used correctly.
• Support safe working practices including reviewing safety plans.
