Job summary

COWI is seeking a Design Manager to lead the design and technical delivery of data centre projects across Norway. You will coordinate across electrical, mechanical, civil and architectural teams, ensuring interfaces align with client requirements and project goals.

Based in Norway with hybrid work, you will engage with customers and internal teams to drive successful delivery, from concept through construction, while contributing to the growth of COWI's data centre capabilities.

Qualifications

• Direct experience from the design and delivery of data centre projects.
• Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical, civil or related discipline.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams.
• Experience across design and delivery phases of large-scale projects.
• Strong stakeholder management with customers.
• Understanding of commercial aspects of project delivery.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall design management and technical delivery of data centre projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and manage interfaces between disciplines.
• Work with customers to understand requirements and support technical decisions.
• Manage the design process from early concept through tender and construction.
• Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies and design changes.
• Support collaboration across project teams, offices and external partners.
• Contribute to client engagement and proposal development for data centre business.
