Job summary

Global Commissioning is seeking a Commissioning Manager to oversee design, installation and commissioning of critical systems and IT infrastructure within data centre environments. You will direct Project Managers, Supervisors and subcontractors to ensure safe, timely delivery.

The role covers design, construction, acceptance and handover phases, with responsibility for commissioning plans, checklists, site tests, weekly meetings, and robust reporting.

Qualifications

• Prince 2 or equivalent – desirable.
• Completion of trade apprenticeship or qualifications – essential.
• CSCS / Safe Pass / ECS / SMSTS holder – essential.
• HNC – Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services - desirable.
• BEng (Hons) in an engineering discipline or equivalent – desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, installation and commissioning of critical systems in data centre environments.
• Lead commissioning workshops and coordinate with project teams and sub-contractors.
• Draft commissioning plans, checklists and test scripts for multi-discipline systems.
• Conduct weekly commissioning meetings and produce comprehensive reports.
• Coordinate handover activities and final commissioning documentation.
