Job description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Crane Operator to join our team in the bustling city of Os As a Crane Operator you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of cranes to lift move and position heavy materials and equipment at construction sites ports and other locations

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and control cranes to lift and move materials according to safety procedures and standards
• Inspect crane equipment before use to ensure proper functioning
• Communicate effectively with ground crew using hand signals or radio communication
• Plan and execute lifts based on load weight height distance and other variables
• Perform routine maintenance on cranes such as lubricating cleaning and adjusting as needed
• Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during operation
• Keep accurate records of daily operations including lifts completed maintenance performed and any incidents or accidents
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies at all times

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent additional vocational training or certification in crane operation preferred
• Proven experience as a Crane Operator in a similar setting eg construction shipping
• Strong knowledge of crane mechanics rigging techniques and safety protocols
• Ability to read load charts and understand different types of rigging equipment
• Good hand-eye coordination with excellent depth perception
• Clear communication skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
• Physically fit with the ability to work in various weather conditions and at heights if required
