Job summary

EliteService Staffing is urgently seeking a Machine Learning Engineer for a contract position in Svalbard, Norway. The candidate will design, develop and deploy ML models, collaborating with data scientists and software engineers to solve business problems using state-of-the-art techniques.

Requirements include a CS/Math/Statistics degree, 2+ years of experience, and proficiency in Python, R or Java, with experience in TensorFlow, PyTorch or Scikit-Learn. Visa requirement applies due to location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Math, Stats or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R or Java.
• Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch or Scikit-Learn.
• Solid understanding of statistical analysis and data mining techniques.
• Experience working with big data tools such as Hadoop or Spark.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain machine learning models and algorithms.
• Collect, clean and preprocess large datasets for training models.
• Collaborate with data scientists to understand business problems and develop solutions.
• Work with software engineers to integrate models into production systems.
• Continuously evaluate and improve model performance.
• Stay updated with latest ML developments and apply them to projects.
• Communicate technical concepts and results to non-technical stakeholders.
