Job summary

WaveSolutions is seeking a contract librarian in Svalbard to manage and organize library resources, assist patrons with finding information, and provide instruction on how to use library resources effectively.

You will develop relationships with faculty and students to support research, collaborate with other librarians to plan programs, and stay current with developments in librarianship while incorporating new technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library Science or a related field.
• Experience working in a library setting preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of electronic databases, search strategies, information literacy principles, and copyright laws.
