Job summary

Ubiq Aerospace, a Trondheim-based deep-tech company, is seeking a seasoned Composite Manufacturing Engineer to scale production of next‑generation aerospace components. You will bridge design and manufacturing, developing robust processes, tooling and automation, and collaborate across mechanical, manufacturing, systems and test teams to deliver repeatable, high‑quality components.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in composite engineering and taking components beyond prototypes into repeatable production.
  • Degree in Mechanical, Materials or Aerospace engineering or related.
  • Experience with prepreg, vacuum bagging, infusion, moulding and curing for aerospace composites.

Responsibilities

  • Develop composite structures and manufacturing processes from concept to production.
  • Apply Design for Manufacture to improve repeatability, quality and cost.
  • Select materials, lay-ups, tooling, curing processes and manufacturing methods.
  • Develop and optimise processes as production volumes increase.
  • Work hands-on with composite manufacturing: lay-up, moulding, curing, trimming and inspection.
  • Introduce appropriate production methods, tooling and automation as capabilities grow.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, systems and test engineers to align product and production needs.
  • Support structural and flight testing and feed learnings back to product/process development.
  • Document robust manufacturing processes and contribute to aerospace quality systems.
