Job summary

Atlas NextWave seeks a Completion Engineer to drive structured completion and handover in an energy project in Norway. You will coordinate Mechanical Completion, Preservation, Commissioning and handover to operations, ensuring data quality and traceable documentation in PIMS CMS.

You will align engineering, construction and commissioning activities, manage scope, and ensure compliance with HSSE standards throughout the completion phases, contributing to process improvements and safer project

Qualifications

• Three years of relevant oil and gas project experience in engineering, fabrication, construction, and commissioning.
• Subsea experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of PIMS CMS.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Proactive mindset with ability to multitask.
• Strong competence in LCI processes and documentation requirements.
• Team-oriented with positive attitude.
• Focused on HSSE and quality in all project phases.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a fit-for-purpose completion and handover structure in PIMS in line with project requirements and company standards.
• Secure scoping and traceable documentation of Mechanical Completion, Preservation, and Commissioning activities in PIMS CMS.
• Maintain data quality and alignment between engineering, construction, and commissioning for efficient handover.
• Drive proper scope management.
• Coordinate handover certificates (RFCC, RFOC) and ensure approval per project requirements.
• Facilitate handover reviews.
• Promote collaboration between project teams, contractors, and operations for safe completion processes.
• Ensure compliance with HSE principles, management system, and standards throughout completion phases.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, system functionality, and best practices.

One of our clients is looking for a Completion Engineer for an exciting project within the energy sector. The role involves ensuring a structured and efficient completion and handover process, with responsibility for documentation, data quality, and coordination of Mechanical Completion, Preservation, Commissioning, and handover to operations.

Main Tasks

• Establish and maintain a fit-for-purpose completion and handover structure in PIMS in line with project requirements and company standards
• Secure correct scoping and traceable documentation of Mechanical Completion, Preservation, and Commissioning activities in PIMS CMS
• Maintain data quality and alignment between engineering, construction, and commissioning disciplines to enable efficient project execution and handover
• Drive proper scope management
• Ensure handover certificates (RFCC, RFOC) are properly coordinated, documented, and approved according to project requirements
• Facilitate handover reviews.
• Promote collaboration between project teams, contractors, and operations to achieve transparent, safe, and efficient completion processes
• Safeguard compliance with Vår Energi's HSE principles, management system, and technical standards throughout all completion phases
• Contribute to continuous improvement of work processes, system functionality, and best practices for project completion and commissioning management

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' relevant experience in oil and gas projects within engineering, fabrication, construction, and commissioning.
• Subsea experience is preferred
• Strong knowledge of PIMS CMS
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
