Job summary

BrightHire in Svalbard is seeking a dedicated Cleaner on a contract basis to maintain cleanliness across offices, public areas and accommodations.

No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided. You must be physically fit, show attention to detail, manage time well, work independently, and be eligible for a Svalbard visa with sponsorship. Accommodation is provided for the duration of the contract.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must have valid work visa for Svalbard or willingness to obtain one with sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces, furniture, fixtures and equipment.
• Empty trash bins and replace liners.
• Restock supplies such as toilet paper, soap and paper towels.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
• Follow all safety procedures while handling cleaning chemicals and operating equipment.
• Ensure all areas are clean and presentable for guests at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping mopping dusting and vacuuming
• Clean and disinfect surfaces furniture fixtures and equipment
• Empty trash bins and replace liners
• Restock supplies such as toilet paper soap and paper towels
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor
• Follow all safety procedures while handling cleaning chemicals and operating equipment
• Ensure all areas are clean and presentable for guests at all times
