Pomegranate Market in Sioux Falls is seeking a friendly, reliable Cashier to greet customers, process transactions, and maintain a clean front-end area. You will handle cash, credit, and gift card sales, assist customers with questions, and support team members throughout the store.

Shifts vary by need, typically 4–8 hours, Monday through Sunday during operating hours. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred, as is a positive attitude and attention to detail.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about customer concerns or inventory needs.
• Follow cash handling and loss prevention procedures.
• Assist with price checks and ensure correct pricing on scanned items.
• Support other departments with light stocking or carryout assistance when needed.

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team and help make that happen.

Job Description

As a Cashier, you are the face of Pomegranate Market—greeting customers, efficiently processing transactions, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience. You’ll also help maintain a clean, organized front end, assist customers with questions, and support team members throughout the store.

Schedule

Shifts vary by need and assignment Monday-Sunday during our hours of operation. Cashiers are typically scheduled for 4-8 hour shifts during operating hours. All staff are expected to maintain regular and punctual attendance, adhering to assigned schedules and communicating promptly about any requested schedule changes.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and use of hands/fingers to handle products and operate POS equipment.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English with customers and team members.
• Ability to perform basic math and handle cash accurately.

Preferred Qualifications

• 16 years of age or older
• Previous retail, grocery, or customer service experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.
• Friendly, positive attitude with a focus on teamwork and customer care.
• Willingness to learn about natural and organic products.
