Job summary

RemoteConnect is seeking a skilled Carpenter in Svalbard to construct, repair and install wooden structures and fixtures. You will measure and cut materials following blueprints or building plans and work to high standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of carpentry experience, can read technical drawings, and is comfortable with framing, formwork and finishing work. The role requires physical stamina and may involve heavy lifting.

Job description

As a Carpenter in Svalbard you will be responsible for constructing repairing and installing structures and fixtures made of wood plywood and other materials

Your main duties will include measuring and cutting materials following blueprints or building plans and ensuring that all work is completed to high standards

You should have experience in basic carpentry techniques such as framing formwork and finishing work

The ability to read and interpret technical drawings is essential for this role

We are looking for a skilled Carpenter with at least 2 years of experience in the carpentry trade

The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills

You must also possess physical stamina and strength as this job requires heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time

A valid drivers license is preferred but not required

This is a contract position with a salary of $900 per week
