Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC) is seeking an enthusiastic Bakery associate to ensure baked goods are prepared and displayed to Company standards. You will work closely with bakery staff to promote department sales and provide friendly, customer‑focused service.

You’ll contribute to inventory, quality control, and decorating tasks, while maintaining safety and cleanliness in a fast‑paced retail bakery environment. Join us and grow with a team that values service and quality.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business per policy.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Manager Food Safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop partners; schedule, plan, assign and direct work.
• Review sales data and manage inventory; review P&L, shrink and labor data.
• Maintain and improve sales performance and product quality.
• Enforce food safety standards and rotate stock with proper dating.
• Assist with bakery production including packaging, labeling, catering, and delivery.
• Decorate baked goods and merchandize displays to promote sales.
• Check truck inventory and manage paperwork and ordering.
• Provide friendly customer service and handle special orders.
