Job summary

TGS, a global energy data company, is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to be based in our Oslo office. You will contribute to centralized accounting, support Project Accounting and Revenue Accounting across global operations, and ensure accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls.

Collaborate with Finance colleagues and business teams to drive efficient processes, improve controls, and deliver high-quality financial information to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Relevant accounting or financial reporting experience.
• Good understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards.

Responsibilities

• Accounting for delegated areas of responsibility, including updating procedures and controls.
• Review of financial reporting for management and external stakeholders.
• Liaison with Sales, Tax, Business Controllers and others within area of responsibility.
• Reconcile and follow up balance sheet accounts within area of responsibility.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal controls and audit requirements.
• Ensure efficiently set up of workflows or accounting processes within area of responsibility.
• Support and respond with issues and ad hoc requests within area of responsibility.

To our Finance team, we are now seeking an Assistant Financial Controller. In this role, you will contribute to our centralized accounting organization, supporting Project Accounting and Revenue Accounting activities across TGS' global operations. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust balance sheet reconciliations, and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. Working closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business, you will help drive efficient processes, support continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality financial information for internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilites

Formal Qualifications And Key Competencies

• Bachelor's degree or higher education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Relevant accounting or financial reporting experience.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, standard (IFRS) and regulations.
• Ability to communicate well on all levels, within and outside of the finance organization.
• Ability to effectively solve problems and proactively identify potential issues within area of responsibility.
