Job summary

Noble Corporation is seeking a Derrickman to support on-going rig operations under the Driller's direction. You will operate and monitor rig equipment, perform housekeeping, and assist with maintenance and safety procedures to ensure efficient drilling and environmental compliance.

You'll participate in pre-tour safety meetings, maintain logs, and support the drill crew during operations, including trips to change bits and tools. Strong communication and training completion are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience as a Derrickman.
• Completion of all training requirements for the position within designated time period.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in applications and systems required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently perform all duties assigned by the Driller during drilling, work over and completion operations.
• Control actual drilling operations under supervision of the Driller, depending on formations encountered and problems encountered.
• Make trips to change bits, tools, and drill string length.
• Report unusual occurrences to the Driller (rate of penetration, mud weight, loss of circulation).
• Participate in safety drills and ensure lines of communication with the drill crew.
• Maintain logs and paperwork required by Noble and authorities.
• Assist in training and developing subordinate personnel.
• Provide leadership for rig personnel and encourage safety training.
