Job description

Frequentis now offers you the excellent opportunity to join our team in the Nordic region. Frequentis is seeking an experienced Technical Solution Consultant for a key role in pre-sales and technical implementation of the next-generation Mission Critical Services (MCX).

MCX is a 3GPP-defined standard for mission‑critical communications, including push‑to‑talk, data, and video services for end‑users in the communication chain. This technology is focused on the application layer of the successor technology of TETRA systems.

Frequentis develops and markets its own MCX solution and is now seeking a dedicated technical expert for the Nordic market who can also contribute to a pre‑sales capacity during the sales phase.

Initially, your role will focus on providing technical consulting with clients during the pre‑sales and bid phases. When Frequentis secures a major project in the Nordic region, the role will become mostly project‑oriented, taking responsibility for the technical implementation. Hence, you will be able to follow a client’s journey from start to finish.

This position offers a flexible work location with the main place of work to be in Oslo. Regional travel and visits to the headquarters in Vienna are required. The onboarding phase will take up to 6 months and mainly take place in Vienna headquarters.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, develop, and support winning new sales opportunities for the Frequentis MCX portfolio
  • Conduct customer meetings to understand technical and operational needs, and build strong client relationships through consultation
  • Analyzing customer requirements and needs and advising customers
  • Act as technical lead in bid processes, including writing tender responses and co‑creating technical concepts
  • Develop solution designs, specifications, cost estimates, and risk assessments in collaboration with pre‑sales, product development, and external suppliers
  • Plan and coordinate technical resources, monitor schedules, and manage change requests
  • Oversee commissioning, integration, testing, and acceptance of deliveries from a technical perspective
  • Ensure lifecycle management of project‑specific COTS products and overall solution architecture
  • Technical collaboration with external suppliers (sub suppliers and primes)
Qualifications
  • A technical education (minimum bachelor’s degree)
  • Solid experience (5+ years) in critical communications and IP‑based technologies
  • Experience leading and collaborating in cross‑functional or virtual teams
  • Strong advisory and communication skills, with the ability to interact at both technical and management levels
  • Proficiency in business English (Scandinavian language skills are a plus)
  • Strong technical writing and documentation abilities
Other formalities
  • Must be able to provide a police certificate
  • Must be eligible for Nato security clearance to at least the "Confidential" level
  • The position requires regular travel (up to 40% of the time), primarily for customer visits in the Nordic countries and to Frequentis headquarters in Vienna, Austria

Frequentis is highly committed to diversity and makes this a key priority in recruitment. We welcome and encourage applicants of any race, religion or gender to apply for this position.

We offer a challenging and rewarding role in a dynamic and innovative company with a strong focus on safety and reliability. You will have the opportunity to work with a team of experts and contribute to the success of our business. Beyond this, we offer competitive salary and pension schemes, in addition to other benefits, as well as possibilities for personal development and career advancement.
