Job summary

PixelWave Studios is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician for a contract position in Svalbard. You will maintain and repair instrumentation used in industrial and scientific settings, perform calibration, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance to ensure accurate operation.

Relocation to the Arctic may be required for the contract duration. Candidates should read manuals and schematics, diagnose faults, document work records, and collaborate with engineers while upholding strict safety

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Instrument Technician experience.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues.
  • Experience with calibration tools and techniques.
  • Good communication and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues with instrumentation equipment.
  • Ensure proper calibration of instruments to maintain accuracy.
  • Diagnose and repair faulty equipment or components.
  • Keep detailed records of all work performed on instruments.
  • Work closely with other technicians and engineers to ensure efficient operations.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working with electrical equipment.
