Job summary

NORCE invites applications for a three-year Postdoctoral Researcher position in Arctic Fish Movement Ecology, Climate Change and Species Redistribution based in Bergen, Norway. The role focuses on leading analyses of fish movements and habitat use, publishing findings, and coordinating field campaigns with an international team.

Qualifications

  • PhD degree must be completed before employment start.
  • Strong publication record for career stage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analyses of fish movements and habitat use in Arctic fjord ecosystems.
  • Publish results in international peer‑reviewed journals and present at conferences.
  • Coordinate field campaigns in Svalbard and supervise MSc/PhD students.
  • Develop habitat selection and movement ecology models and integrate environmental data with tracking data.
