Job summary

BlueHorizon in Svalbard is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Baker to join our busy bakery team. This full-time role involves preparing and baking breads, pastries and other goods to our recipes and standards, while maintaining cleanliness and food safety.

You will monitor inventory, order supplies, decorate and package finished products, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Prior baking experience is welcome but not required, and candidates starting out are encouraged to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous baking experience is welcome but not required.
• Ability to read and follow recipes accurately.
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare doughs, batters, fillings and icings following established recipes.
• Operate baking equipment such as mixers, ovens and proofers.
• Monitor baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection.
• Decorate and package finished products for display or sale.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.
