Job summary

BrightConnect in Svalbard is seeking an experienced Android Developer to design and maintain high-quality mobile applications for clients.

You will design and develop Android apps, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and continuously evaluate new technologies to maximize performance and reliability of apps. The role is a contract position with visa and travel support provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on Android development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Kotlin and the Android SDK.
• Experience with libraries and APIs.
• Familiar with Agile methodologies.

We are in need of an experienced Android Developer to join our dynamic team in Svalbard.

As an Android Developer you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for our clients.

This is a contract position with free visa and ticket provided making it ideal for students looking to gain valuable experience while earning a competitive salary of 1600$.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced applications for the Android platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs

• Ensure the best possible performance quality and responsiveness of the applications

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Proven experience as an Android Developer with at least 2 years of hands-on experience
• Strong knowledge of Java Kotlin and the Android SDK
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail

Preferred

• Experience working on projects from initial concept through release
• Published at least one original Android app on the Google Play Store
• Knowledge of other mobile platforms such as iOS
