Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Anaesthetic Nurse to support our Anaesthesiologist and surgical team across our Day Surgery centre, clinics and partner hospitals. This role requires flexibility and professionalism, with a 5.5-day workweek commitment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and effective anaesthetic nursing care during procedures.
  • Assist the Anaesthetist with preparation of anaesthetic equipment, medications, IV access and patient monitoring.
  • Conduct pre-operative assessments and ensure patient readiness for anaesthesia.
  • Monitor and document patient status throughout procedures, ensuring prompt escalation where required.
  • Support post-anaesthesia recovery and ensure smooth handover to PACU staff.
  • Maintain high standards of infection control, patient safety and equipment management.
  • Participate in emergency response and resuscitation when required.
  • Travel between clinics and hospitals to support surgical cases and anaesthetic services based on rostered duties.
  • Ensure proper documentation, stock management and adherence to clinical protocols across locations.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a valid SNB licence.
  • 1–2 years of OT, peri-operative or anaesthetic nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of anaesthetic principles, airway management and patient monitoring.
  • Able to work professionally and independently with Anaesthetists.
  • Good communication, coordination and teamwork skills.
  • Comfortable travelling between clinics and hospital operating theatres.
  • BCLS/ACLS certification preferred.
  • Commitment to a 5.5-day workweek.
