Job summary

Industrial Company near Mongstad, Norway, is seeking three Industrial Maintenance Mechanics for a long-term position on a 3/3 rotation. The role is based in a quarry, maintaining crushers, screens and conveyors to ensure steady production.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspect and replace mechanical components, and may assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment. Quarry experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of quarry equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders and other fixed equipment in quarrying.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical faults.
• Inspect, service and replace bearings, belts, chains, gears, rollers, shafts and hydraulic components.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new or modified production equipment.
• Welding, adjustments and alignment may be required.

People is recruiting three Industrial Maintenance Mechanics on behalf of a well-established industrial group located near Mongstad, Norway.

The role is based at a quarry where aggregates are extracted from the rock and processed before being loaded onto vessels and later used as rock protection to stabilize and secure subsea cables and pipelines on the seabed.

We are offering a long-term position with opportunities for development.

Key Responsibilities

As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders and other fixed equipment used in quarrying and aggregate processing.

You will carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical faults and help ensure reliable and efficient production.

The role includes inspection, servicing and replacement of mechanical components such as bearings, belts, chains, gears, rollers, shafts and hydraulic components. You may also carry out welding, adjustments, alignment and modifications to mechanical equipment, as well as assist with installation and commissioning of new or modified production equipment.

Experience from working in a quarry is an advantage, but not a requirement.
