Job summary

VanMoof is seeking a hands-on Quality Control Technician to inspect and fine-tune e-bikes, diagnose complex hardware/software issues, and maintain the staff/test-ride fleet. You will also prep bikes for PR events and document diagnostic findings to support product improvements.

The role requires experience with technical products, diagnostic tools, and a proactive, organized mindset. English fluency is essential, with Dutch/German/French a plus; onsite work 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

Job description

What you'll do

• Perform quality control inspections on newly arrived e-bikes, ensuring they meet VanMoof's safety and performance standards.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex hardware and software issues escalated by retail and service partners.
• Maintain, repair, and optimize the staff and test-ride fleet to ensure bikes are always in top condition.
• Prepare bikes for PR events, media campaigns, and marketing shoots, ensuring they are both visually and mechanically flawless.
• Test returned and faulty components, document diagnostic findings, and support engineering with product improvement insights.
• Evaluate warranty claims using technical diagnostics and make informed approval or rejection decisions.
• Inspect, process, and disassemble returned bikes and accessories for refurbishment, parts recovery, failure analysis, or recycling.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workshop by managing tools, parts, and overall workspace standards.
