Job summary

CEVA Logistics in the Netherlands is seeking a proactive Workforce Planner to ensure the right number of temporary workers with the required skills are available to support our logistics operations.

You will develop 4-8 week plans with operations, coordinate with staffing partners, and analyze schedules to improve efficiency while maintaining service levels. The role is based at our Bleiswijk/Waalwijk sites and involves flexible hours incl. weekends when needed.

Qualifications

• MBO level 4 or equivalent and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Experience with Excel and various planning systems.
• Strong social, communication skills and attention to detail.

• Fulfill the flexible workforce needs for logistical operations based on forecasts.
• Develop a 4-8 week workforce plan in consultation with operations.
• Increase the flexibility of the workforce pool trough methods such as job rotation.

Workforce Planner

CEVA Logistics is a leading global logistics service provider. In the Benelux region, we operate more than 50 sites across 30 locations, where over 11,000 colleagues contribute to our success every day.

YOUR ROLE
As a Workforce Planner, your primary responsibility is to ensure that the right number of flexible workers with the required skills are available on time to support our logistical operations. You'll collaborate with colleagues to create and optimize employee schedules, working closely with operational departments and our flexible staffing partners.

What does this role mean? The employee schedule is based on forecasts provided by our partners. For context, during peak periods, around 1500 temporary workers are employed in our warehouse in Bleiswijk. You'll inform and advise various stakeholders, primarily via email and phone, requiring strong English skills. Your ability to analyze data, combined with proficiency in Excel and other systems, supports your recommendations and responses. Precision and effective prioritization are essential to providing stakeholders with accurate and timely information.

You will be part of a team of 4 Workforce Planners, a diverse and dedicated group where your input is valued, and together, you achieve goals. You will report to the Team Lead Workforce Planning and work from our warehouse in Waalwijk.

Working hours are primarily between 06:30 and 17:30, every day of the week, including Sundays. Of course, you won't be working these hours consecutively. As a team, you'll create a quarterly schedule where you can indicate your preferences, which will be accommodated as much as possible. During peak season, we ask for more flexibility when it comes to working hours.

• You're flexible with working hours, willing to work on weekends once a month and have your own transportation;
