Job summary

PlayCore is seeking a skilled welder to fabricate and weld steel parts according to blueprint specifications, using MIG welding and related equipment. You will manufacture finished metal products, follow drawings, and assemble structures and sub-assemblies to meet quality and customer needs.

You will read tape measures, weld symbols and gauges, interpret blueprints, perform weld inspections, and maintain a safe, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience or technical training as a structural welder with ability to join, fabricate and weld metal tube and pipe.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products.
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications.
• Calculate material measurements to verify specifications.
• Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance.
• Assemble and weld structures, sub-assemblies and be responsible for filing, burring and welding.

Education And/or Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experienced or technical training as a structural welder with the ability to join, fabricate and weld metal tube and pipe

Travel

• This position requires minimal to no travel

Computer Skills

• Basic computer skills
• Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems

Other Requirements

• Ability to perform MIG welding thin gauge, mild steel and other weld-able material by applying appropriate welding techniques
• Able to read and understand a tape measure, weld symbols and welding gauges
• Must be able to interpret blueprint specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine and apply appropriate welding processes

• Ability to perform inspection of welded fabrications
