Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience starting as junior ecologist or researcher in consultancy, province or research institute.
• As a medior ecologist, you specialize in aquatic systems with more responsibilities in project management.
• In the senior position you lead teams, develop policy and make strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement ecological policy for water authorities and monitor biodiversity in water areas.
• Coordinate monitoring and restoration projects and report to provincial authorities on the ecological quality of the water area.
• Collaborate with hydrologists, policy officers and external institutes to balance water safety with nature conservation.
