Marktlink Fusies & Overnames B.V. is launching Marktlink Insurance, a dedicated brokerage within the Marktlink Group, to lead a fast-growing transaction insurance practice in M&A deals. The role offers direct deal involvement, ambitious build-out responsibilities, and exposure to top-tier counterparties.

TheMedior/Senior Associate will advise on W&I solutions, manage end-to-end processes, and drive client-focused outcomes in a dynamic environment with strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Law, Finance or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in M&A, transaction insurance, legal advisory, underwriting or finance.
• Understanding of the M&A transaction process and the legal/financial documentation involved.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate key issues clearly.
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Advising buyers, sellers and their legal advisors on structuring and applying transaction insurance solutions, including W&I.
• Managing W&I processes end-to-end from risk assessment to policy placement.
• Analyzing vendor due diligence reports, SPAs and other transaction documents.
• Leading underwriting discussions with international insurers on coverage and terms.
• Supporting integration of transaction insurance as a standard component of Marktlink's deal process.
• Building and maintaining relationships with insurers, lawyers and market participants.

Marktlink Insurance is a dedicated brokerage entity within the Marktlink Group, launched in February 2026, that specializes in transaction insurance solutions for M&A deals. Transaction insurance helps buyers, sellers and investors manage deal risk, run a smoother negotiation process and execute transactions with greater certainty. The largest part of this market consists of W&I insurance, which protects a buyer if a warranty breach or (tax) indemnity claim arises under the SPA. For transactions above €50M enterprise value, W&I has become standard. In the mid-market, the opportunity across transaction insurance is still wide open and growing fast. Backed by Marktlink's deal flow, distribution power and strong brand, and led by an experienced Managing Partner, we are building a market-leading transaction insurance practice. To help us build this practice, we are looking for a Medior or Senior Associate Insurance to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Advising buyers, sellers and their legal advisors on the structuring and application of transaction insurance solutions, including W&I insurance;
• Managing W&I processes end-to-end, from risk assessment, market submission, NBI review through to policy placement and binding;
• Conducting in-depth analysis of (Vendor) Due Diligence reports, SPAs and other transaction documentation;
• Leading underwriting discussions with (international) insurers on coverage, exclusions and deal-specific terms;
• Supporting the integration of transaction insurance as a standard component of Marktlink's deal process;
• Contributing to the development of internal templates, processes and knowledge frameworks;
• Actively building and maintaining relationships with insurers, lawyers and other market participants.

Qualifications

You are commercially sharp, deal-driven and comfortable operating at the intersection of legal, insurance and financial analysis. You know how to move fast without cutting corners, and you thrive in an environment where you can genuinely shape what's being built. You may already be working as an M&A lawyer, W&I underwriter, finance professional or broker active in transaction insurance, and you are now looking for a role with broader commercial exposure, direct deal involvement and real build-out responsibility.

On top of that, we'd like you to bring:

• A Master's degree in Law, Finance or a related field;
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in M&A, transaction insurance, legal advisory, underwriting or finance. Your background may be in M&A or corporate law at a leading firm, as a W&I underwriter, in deal-focused finance, or as a broker in transaction insurance. What matters most is that you understand how transactions work, can assess risk and documentation with confidence, and are excited to build further in this fast-growing market;
• A solid understanding of the M&A transaction process and the legal and financial documentation involved;
• Strong analytical skills: you see the key issues fast and communicate them clearly;
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English, written and spoken;
• A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset: you spot opportunities, take ownership, and help build something you're proud of.
