Job summary

Independent Recruiters Groep BV is seeking a VP Enterprise Technology in Amsterdam to lead a growing internal IT and Data, Automation & AI team alongside a global partner model. The role reports to the CEO and drives technology strategy, budgets, and cross-functional roadmaps across Operations, Manufacturing, Product, and Finance.

You will oversee a lean internal team and external vendors, ensuring high uptime, scalable architecture, and strong governance while guiding real-time analytics and AI

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive technology leadership experience spanning enterprise systems.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams through managers and individual contributors.
• Experience managing technology budgets, external vendors, and strategic technology partnerships.
• Demonstrated experience scaling IT/Data/Systems environments within fast-growing or operationally complex organizations (e.g., Consumer Products, Manufacturing, Retail).
• Hands-on Strategy: Ability to translate business goals into technology roadmaps while staying close enough to execution to ensure delivery quality.
• Enterprise Fundamentals: Solid grasp of modern ERP/business applications, data governance, practical AI implementation, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Executive Presence: Strong stakeholder management skills with a track record of partnering directly with C-suite leadership.

We're looking for aVP Enterprise Technology for a (B2C) tech scale-up. This role reports to the CEO. You will be responsible for internal IT systems, plus a centralized Data, Automation and AI team. You will lead a lean (growing) team (~10 FTE) alongside a larger global outsourced partner model.

Responsibilities - VP Enterprise Technology

Strategic Leadership & Delivery

• Strategy & Roadmaps: Partner with executive leaders across Operations, Manufacturing, Product, and Finance to define technology priorities, budgets, and business-driven roadmaps.
• Scaleup Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing internal team of ~10 FTEs while managing external vendor and partner networks to scale delivery efficiently.

Core Capabilities

• Business Systems & IT: Oversee global application architecture, workplace technology, networks, and infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Data & Analytics: Build and mature data capabilities to drive real-time business intelligence, forecasting, and decision-making.
• AI & Automation: Identify and execute high-impact AI use cases that streamline internal workflows, boost productivity, and establish practical AI governance.
• Security & Resilience: Maintain robust cybersecurity, data privacy, and disaster recovery standards across all global locations, systems, and hardware.
