Job summary

Monks is seeking a Hybrid Editor based in Amsterdam to transform raw footage into polished, impactful films using AI-enhanced tools. You will join the EMEA Content Studio and collaborate with Directors, Producers, and Creatives to deliver premium assets for a diverse client portfolio.

With 4+ years of professional editing experience, you will master Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, applying AI-assisted workflows to elevate pacing, sound, and visuals in a fast-paced agency setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years professional editing experience with a strong portfolio showcasing visual storytelling and production technique.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
• Advanced expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and solid experience with Adobe After Effects for motion graphics.
• Educational background in Film & Media Studies (or equivalent practical experience).
• A collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving agency setting.

Responsibilities

• Craft story-driven edits and animations using Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.

• Maintain high visual standards across all deliverables, ensuring every asset meets brand and platform specifications.

About You

The essentials:

• 4+ years of professional editing experience with a strong portfolio showcasing visual storytelling and production technique.

• Educational background in Film & Media Studies (or equivalent practical experience) combined with a genuine passion for modern filmmaking tools.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving agency setting.

Not a must, but a plus:

• Experience using DaVinci Resolve for colour grading and finishing.
• Practical knowledge of AI capabilities for advanced editing, sound design, and automated workflows.
• Understanding of platform delivery specifications and automation techniques.
