Job summary

Yuverta Westvliet is seeking a dedicated Coordinator of Educational Support to serve as the linking node within the school’s support framework. You will organize, coordinate and advance student support, maintain oversight, and be visibly present in the school while working closely with students, parents, colleagues, school leadership and external partners.

You will be solution-focused, connect people, and contribute to a safe learning environment where students and staff can thrive.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, evaluate and further develop the support structure within Yuverta Westvliet.
• Conduct conversations with students, parents, colleagues and external partners.
• Guide and facilitate the internal support team.
• Identify support needs and coordinate appropriate support for students and teachers.
• Support students following an Development Perspective (OPP).
• Develop and implement a renewed system for student meetings focused on optimal support.
• Prepare and facilitate meetings and committees.
• Track student development from intake to graduation and contribute to the determination process.
• Promote social safety by signaling, preventive actions and intervention when needed.
• Handle intake and placement of new students.
• Support colleagues through observations, coaching, interventions, and classroom advice.
• Coordinate student absenteeism.
• Maintain contacts with collaborations, youth services and other external partners.
• Act in accordance with the Reporting Code Domestic Violence and Child Abuse or be willing to follow training.
