Position: Assembly Department Manager (Value Stream Manager)

Wat ga je doen?

Als Afdelingsmanager ben jij, samen met jouw collega manager Assembly, de spil in jouw afdeling. Jij zorgt ervoor dat processen optimaal draaien én elke dag een stukje beter worden.

• Bent verantwoordelijk voor het behalen van productiedoelen
• Optimaliseert processen en initieert verbeterprojecten (Lean)
• Bouwt, coacht en ontwikkelt een sterk team van (2 shift leaders, 7 cell leaders en ongeveer 50 operators)
• Vertaalt afdelingsstrategie naar concrete doelen en een jaarplan
• Werkt nauw samen met afdelingen zoals QA, Engineering, HR en Finance
• Creëert een veilige werkomgeving – fysiek, mentaal én sociaal
• Neemt de lead in verbeterinitiatieven via Kaizens en workshops
• Breng je structuur, overzicht en richting
• Versterk je continu verbeteren binnen de organisatie
• Zorg je voor betrokken en gemotiveerde teams
• Lever je directe bijdrage aan de strategische koers
• Werk jij in dagdienst terwijl jouw direct reports in een 2 ploegendienst werken

Vereisten

• Minimaal HBO werk- en denkniveau
• Minimaal 3 jaar ervaring in productie en lean manufacturing
• Ervaring met people management
• Bij voorkeur ervaring met Lean (zoals Value Stream Mapping, 5S, problem solving, Daily Management)
• Goede communicatie in Nederlands en Engels

For our Operations organization in Medemblik, we are looking for an Assembly Department Manager (Value Stream Manager) who is energized by improving processes and developing teams.

What will you do?

As Department Manager, you – together with your fellow Assembly Manager – are the driving force within your department. You ensure processes run optimally and improve every single day.

• Are responsible for achieving production targets
• Optimize processes and initiate improvement projects (Lean)
• Build, coach, and develop a strong team consisting of (2 shift leaders, 7 cell leaders, and approximately 50 operators).
• Translate department strategy into concrete goals and an annual plan
• Work closely with departments such as QA, Engineering, HR, and Finance
• Create a safe working environment – physically, mentally, and socially
• Take the lead in improvement initiatives through Kaizens and workshops
• You bring structure, overview, and direction
• You strengthen continuous improvement within the organization
• You ensure engaged and motivated teams
• You directly contribute to the strategic direction
• You work in day shift while your direct reports operate in a two-shift system

Who are you?

You are a natural leader who inspires and energizes people.

In Addition

• You have at least a bachelor’s level of thinking and working (HBO level)
• You have at least 3 years of experience in production and lean manufacturing
• You have experience with people management
• Preferably, you have experience with Lean (such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, problem solving, Daily Management)
• You are able to communicate effectively in Dutch and English
