Job summary

Destinus seeks an experienced UAV Demonstration Technician to lead and execute high-profile fixed-wing UAV demonstrations for military and government clients across multiple countries. You will work with engineering and flight operations to ensure mission-ready aircraft, payloads, and systems, delivering safe, professional, and precise demonstrations.

The role requires a strong military mindset, hands-on flight operations, and the ability to coordinate with international stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years operating fixed-wing UAV systems in military/aerospace/defense context.
• Military background is required, preferably in aviation, UAV operations or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with ground control stations, telemetry and mission software.
• Strong understanding of UAV avionics, datalinks and flight systems.
• Experience with manual and autonomous flight modes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the Demonstration Team for UAV demonstrations across multiple countries.
• Operate fixed-wing UAVs during customer demonstrations, test flights and field operations.
• Maintain demonstration readiness for aircraft, payloads, ground control stations and support equipment.
• Support mission planning, airspace coordination, weather assessment and risk analysis.
• Perform launch, flight and recovery operations in various modes.
• Operate ground control stations, telemetry systems, datalinks and mission communications.
• Support EO/IR and surveillance payload operations during missions.
• Troubleshoot, perform field maintenance and provide technical support during deployments.
• Collaborate with engineering and flight test teams for validation and performance improvement.
