Job summary

Destinus is seeking a Project Manager - Turbojet Engineering to drive development programs from concept to production. You will structure plans, align engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and stakeholders, and keep programs moving with clear accountability.

You will own schedules, budgets, resources, risks, milestones, and deliverables across multiple turbomachinery programs, working with multidisciplinary teams while not needing to be the technical expert in the room.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience managing complex engineering development projects.
• Experience with gas turbine engines or turbomachinery is highly desirable.
• Ability to translate technical progress into project decisions.
• Proven track record in schedules, budgets, risks, milestones, and deliverables.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
• Fluent English; other European languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead turbojet engine development projects from concept through design, manufacturing, testing, qualification, and production.
• Build and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, milestones, risk registers, and delivery plans.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and ensure priorities, dependencies, and deliverables remain aligned.
• Track project progress, identify risks and bottlenecks early, and drive actions through to resolution.
• Organize project meetings, technical reviews, and customer reviews with clear decisions and actions.
• Manage customer communication, project reporting, contractual deliverables, and key milestones.
• Coordinate suppliers and external partners to secure timely delivery of hardware and documentation.
• Monitor project costs, resources, KPIs, and overall program performance and provide updates to management.
• Support the transition of propulsion systems from development into qualification, production, and delivery.
• Connect engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, and testing teams to keep execution moving.
