Job summary

Aggreko is seeking a Travel Technician 1 Power or Temp Control to support a wide range of projects, from large events to utilities turnarounds. You will install, commission and service generators and HVAC systems, troubleshoot issues, and work with remote operations to prevent failures.

The role requires up to 75% travel, 4+ years of relevant experience, and a background in event environments and diesel generators. Aggreko offers strong training, career growth, and a safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with event and entertainment environments.
• Experience servicing, testing and installing commercial HVAC or industrial diesel generators.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service and repair Aggreko generators, diesel engines and electrical equipment.
• Install and commission for Events Services and other complex projects.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures on Events Services and in service centers.
• Calculate nominal and effective tonnage/kW requirements using formulas.
• Ensure repairs and overhauls are completed on time and within budgets.
• Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and service manuals.
• Promote safe working conditions per OSHA, EPA, and regulations.
• Interface with a remote operations center to prevent failures and design proactive notifications.

What You'll Do

• You will be part of an elite technician team that works on a wide range of projects from large events to assisting utilities customers or being part of a turnaround team in a refinery.
• Install, commission, service and repair Aggreko generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or OFA systems.
• Install and commission for Events Services and other complex projects.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures both on Events Services and in the service centers.
• Utilize mathematical formulas to calculate both nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
• Ensure the completion of minor repairs and major overhauls on time, to standard, and within agreed budgets for both specific repairs and overall department budgets.
• Read and comprehend electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of, practice, and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, EPA and other required regulations dealing with safe operation of all equipment.
• Interface with a remote operations center to prevent failures, help design proactive notification to avoid failures and compliance.

You’ll Have The Following Skills And Experience

• Able to travel extensively, up to 75%, and be away for extended periods of time
• 4+ years of relevant work experience
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• Previous experience with event and entertainment
• Experience servicing, testing and installing commercial HVAC or industrial diesel generators.
