Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Nijmegen, Netherlands, seeks a DevOps / Platform Engineer, Test Automation to design and operate tooling, infrastructure, and software that support semiconductor test-program development and engineering workflows.

This role blends platform engineering, software development, and semiconductor test automation to build reliable development environments and boost productivity through automation. It bridges disciplines across Test, Product, Design, and Infra teams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and scalable build environments.
• Operate and evolve cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure supporting semiconductor test software development.
• Help migrate workloads to modern containerized platforms.
• Containerize applications and services using Docker.
• Maintain PostgreSQL infrastructure, schemas, and data models.
• Develop software tools, automation frameworks, API integrations, and data-processing pipelines using Python and Java.
• Support the development and maintenance of test engineering software used for NPI, characterization, and production test activities.
• Improve automation, reuse, and standardization of software components and engineering workflows.
• Develop scripting and automation solutions for test execution, data analysis, reporting, and process optimization.
• Improve reliability, monitoring, security, documentation, and overall developer experience.
• Support engineers in adopting software development best practices, including version control, code reviews, testing, and automation.
• Collaborate with Test Engineering, Product Engineering, Design, and Infrastructure teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to build systems, automation frameworks, test software, and deployment pipelines.

We are looking for a DevOps / Platform Engineer, Test Automation to develop and operate the tooling, infrastructure, and software that support semiconductor test-program development and test engineering workflows.

This role combines platform engineering, software development, and semiconductor test automation. You will help build reliable development environments, improve engineering productivity through automation, and contribute to the software ecosystem used by Test Engineering teams worldwide.

This position is intentionally designed as a bridge between platform engineering, software engineering, and semiconductor test and product engineering.

Your Missions

Your Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the same domain or job
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Monitoring, observability, and operational excellence practices
• Networking, secrets management, and security best practices
• Experience in semiconductor test engineering, electronics, or hardware-related development environments
• Experience mentoring engineers or driving adoption of software engineering best practices
• Knowledge of digital and/or analog test methodologies
• Fluent in English

We are looking for a Candidate with an experience in:

• Jenkins adminstration and CI/CD pipeline development
