Job summary

Werckpost zoekt een Terminal Tractor Driver die trailers met containers nauwkeurig positioneert en koppelt op het terrein. Je leest de planning en controleert lijsten, waarna de trailer snel verder wordt getransporteerd naar hinterland of zeevrachtbestemming.

Je bestuurt de cab en voert eventueel heftruckwerk uit. Het teamsgevoel is belangrijk; er zijn mogelijkheden voor training en een vaste aanstelling bij gebleken geschiktheid.

Qualifications

• Rijbewijs B of T vereist.
• Ervaring met containertransport/havenwerk is een must.
• Vorkheftruckcertificaat heeft de voorkeur, of bereidheid om er een te halen.
• Terminaltractorcertificaat is een extra plus.

Responsibilities

• Positioneren en koppelen van trailers met containers op het terrein.
• Veilig en efficiënt rijden van trailers naar hinterland of zeevaartbestemming.
• Rij- en hefwerkzaamheden uitvoeren, met mogelijke ondersteuning bij heftruckwerk.
• Bijdragen aan een prettige werkomgeving en samenwerking met collega's.

Job description

A Terminal Driver transports trailers and containers between loading docks, parking areas, and warehouses using a terminal truck.

Over de vacature:

As a Terminal Tractor Driver, you ensure that trailers with containers are accurately positioned and uncoupled. You check the details on the loading and unloading list in the schedule to ensure that everything is correct. In no time at all, the trailer is picked up for further transport to the hinterland or to a distant destination by sea. Meanwhile, you steer your one-man cab to the next trailer. What others see as a jumble of stacked containers, trailers, and cranes is a logical and structured whole to you.

The planning department loves your efficiency. Thanks to your precision, every trailer is in the right place on time, ready to move on. You maneuver safely and damage-free across the terminal and are also happy to help with other tasks, such as forklift work. You make a part of the port your domain and contribute to a pleasant working environment with great colleagues.

Wat wij vragen:

• You have a B or T driver's license;
• Experience in container transport and/or working in the port is a must;
• Possession of a forklift certificate is an advantage, or willingness to obtain one. A terminal tractor certificate makes us extra happy!
• You are willing to work night shifts;
• Flexibility and a proactive attitude to ensure that the work gets done are a matter of course for you.
