Senior Technician – Vestas Turbines (Arnhem, Netherlands)

Location: 6831GM, Arnhem, Netherlands

Contract: Permanent

Salary: €4,500.00 per month

NB: For this role we are only considering technicians who are living in the Netherlands, with a valid Dutch working permit such as an EU citizenship. We cannot provide visa sponsorship.

We are looking to hire wind turbine technicians for the Arnhem‑Apeldoorn region. The biggest challenge is building a high‑performing local team that can maintain and repair large‑scale wind turbines while upholding strict safety and quality standards. You will play a pioneering role in shaping the future of wind energy in this region.

Qualifications

• At least an MBO‑3 or MBO‑4 diploma in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum 3 years of experience servicing wind turbines, preferably Vestas.
• Certified in NEN 3140 and NEN 3840 (or willing to obtain these).
• Fluent English – spoken and written.
• Valid driver’s licence (B).
• Physically fit and comfortable working at heights.
• Knowledge of converters or willingness to learn.
• Solution‑oriented, independent, and a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on wind turbines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical faults.
• Replace major components such as gearboxes and generators.
• Follow strict safety procedures and standards.
• Document work activities and incidents.
• Support inspections, root‑cause analyses, and retrofit projects.
