Job summary

Prodrive Technologies in Eindhoven is seeking a Technical Support Engineer for our System Assembly Maintenance team. You ensure availability, reliability, and performance of production equipment, working hands-on with mechanical, electrical, and software aspects to keep lines running.

Qualifications

• A technical background in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Automotive engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and assembly instructions.
• Affinity with mechanics, electronics and basic software troubleshooting.
• Experience with or willingness to learn structured problem-solving methods.
• Proactive mindset with attention to safety, quality and detail.
• Willing to work in a two-shift system.
• Familiarity with network protocols (Profinet, Modbus, OPC UA) and PLC basics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance based on internal planning and instructions.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues at component and system level.
• Carry out corrective repairs and verify operational readiness afterward.
• Conduct root cause analyses using structured methods (5 Whys, Fishbone).
• Communicate effectively during breakdowns and keep stakeholders updated.
• Document findings in maintenance logs, RCA reports and shift handovers.
• Support service and rework activities based on technical documentation.
• Suggest and help implement improvements to increase uptime and machine performance.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing on reliability improvements.
