Job summary

Booking.com is seeking a Technical Specialist - Security in Amsterdam to lead enhancements in Application Security and governance across personnel systems, payroll, and time management. You will partner with People Services, Financial Systems, Risk teams and vendors to implement scalable, secure configurations while aligning with GDPR and SOX controls.

You will review designs, own end-to-end solutions, perform testing, and participate in the technology community to share learnings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years in Application Security and governance.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical designs.
• Knowledge of GDPR and SOx compliance for IT applications.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders and manage cross-functional changes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement enhancements for Application Security and governance across Personnel Administration, Time Management, Payroll.
• Act as technology expert for People Services, Financial Systems, Risk teams and other stakeholders.
• Review project designs and own solutions with cross-functional impact or delivery impact.
• Collaborate with Financial Systems, IT Services, Security & Privacy teams and vendors to implement technology solutions.
• Participate in technology community activities, sharing best practices with user groups and forums.
• Coordinate release testing and support for projects and operations with vendors and partners.
• End-to-end ownership of functional design, architecture and user experience improvements.
• Perform unit, regression testing and support UAT for projects and support.
• Perform root-cause analysis for incidents and ensure payroll processes are error-free from a technical standpoint.
• Maintain documentation for configuration designs and inputs for business manuals.
• Maintain the Applications Tenant Strategy with owners and IT teams.

The Technical Specialist - Security in People Tech works on multiple Projects and Configuration changes on Application Security & Application governance. The Application Specialist researches, designs, documents, maintains and implements new functionality in People Tech focusing on user experience, scalable design, legal requirements and best practices. Responsible for implementing scalable and secure configurations along with fixing issues raised by the Business owners. Proactively monitors new features released and identifies and promotes changes to improve System design and user experience.

Responsibilities

• This role sits within the People Tech and is responsible to Lead & Implement Enhancements & Support Application Security & Application governance - Personnel Administration, Time Management, Payroll to configure the platform to achieve measurable benefits
• Act as the Technology expert to provide solutions to the People Services, Financial Systems , Risk teams and other relevant stakeholders.
• Review the Project designs, perform impact assessment and have the ownership and accountability for Solutions implemented for any cross functional impact or delivery impact
• Partner with other stakeholders such as Financial Systems, IT Services, Security & Privacy Teams, Technology Implementation Partners and Application vendors to implement technology solutions.
• Participate in Application Security & Application governance Technology Functional development by being an active member of the Technology Community: working closely with Application Vendors, tapping into Customer networks to bring in learnings and best practices, joining User Groups, collaborating in forums
• Review and Coordinate Application Security & Application governance support packages, releases, release testing working closely with Financial Systems, Application Vendors and Technology Partners
• End to end ownership of providing solution for functional requirements after doing the impact assessment for Design, Architecture, User Experience
• Perform Unit Testing, Regression Testing and support UAT for both Projects & support
• For incident management, Perform Root cause analysis for Incidents and propose long term scalable fixes. Ensure Payroll processes are completed with no errors, inconsistencies from Technical side
• Responsible for ensuring system stability, enhancements delivery, process optimization for Applications
• Responsible for managing Compliance activities such as SOx ITGC controls, Data Privacy & standards, IT Change Management activities for Application Security & Application governance
• Responsible for maintaining documentation for Configuration designs for our implemented modules and provide inputs for the business manuals
• Responsible for maintaining the Applications Tenant Strategy in close collaboration with Application owners, vendors & IT Teams
• Work with Tech Partners to ensure solutions are scalable, delivered on time and in accordance with Application Security & Application governance best practices

Qualifications

• Strong technical background and a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar
• Should have minimum 4+ Years in Application Security , Application governance ,Reporting , ITGC controls, Kainos Add ons management is a pro
• Experience in translating complex business requirements into technical design, Unit Testing, UAT, Regression Testing for system changes
• Basic understanding of Integration landscape in the Application Security & Application governance
• Understanding of GDPR, Sox compliance and legal regulations for IT Applications & Data security
• Application Security & Application governance certification is a bonus.
• Strong Problem Solving skills and excellent communication, stakeholder management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Escalation management, Strong stakeholder management, coaching & mentoring
